Advanced Applied Behavior Analysis

Psychology PSYC 4515 Three (3) credit hours

This course focuses on special considerations in providing Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) services. Topics include ethical and professional conduct issues, special considerations in intervention strategies, supervision and oversight of behaviour services, and systems of behaviour change.

Prerequisite: Either PSYC 2613 or PSYC 2515, and either PSYC 3663 or PSYC 3515. Students who have received credit for PSYC 3673 cannot receive credit for PSYC 4515.

  • This course will introduce advanced concepts in behaviour analysis.
  • Students will be introduced to considerations in conducting behaviour assessment and intervention.
  • Students will be able to design effective treatment programs and develop systems to ensure effective treatment of socially important behavioural issues.

Course details

Students have six months from the registration date to complete the course. All course exams and/or assignments must be completed by the designated end date.

Assignments and examinations

  • 8 x Experiential Practice Activities (25 points each)
  • 1 x Final Exam (300 points)
