Business Administration ADM 1113 Three (3) credit hours

This course introduces the process of administration and the functional components of profit oriented organizations. It will consider the general environmental framework of management as well as distinctive features of Canadian business. To achieve this goal, students will be required to research online business news articles from the Canadian press and submit answers to relevant end of chapter business topics.

Why take this course?

  • This introductory course will explore and answer the question, ”What is business?”
  • Students will have a broader understanding of general business topics.
  • Students will learn by applying textbook readings to online research by finding relevant news stories. This will enhance understanding of specific business topics.

Course details

Students have six months from the registration date to complete the course. All course exams and/or assignments must be completed by the designated end date.

Assignments and examinations

  • 9 x Quizzes (30% total)
  • 3 x Assignments (10% each)
  • 1 x Final Exam (invigilated, 40%)

The final exam for this course will be invigilated at an approved time and location. Please refer to the Online Exam Request Form to book.
