Foundations Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety

Build a foundation in OHS

Taught by professionals in the field, the Foundations Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety provides learners with a first exposure to the fundamentals of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS).

This certificate includes:

  • 240 hours of course content in six courses, including:
    • An introduction to health and safety
    • Management of health and safety
    • Law and legislation
    • Occupational hygiene
    • Organizational behavior
    • Risk management

Who should attend?

Learners new to the field of occupational health and safety or people working for an organization that wants a more focused review of OHS fundamentals to give them greater capacity to provide OHS support at work.

Fees and schedule

The program may be taken one course at a time, at a cost of $550 per course, or students can register for the entire certificate at a cost of $3,300 (for all six courses). Students take approximately one year to complete the certificate.
