Jeannette Combes RN MN COHN(C) CPN(C) DTN

Jeannette is an innovative Senior Health Care Clinician skilled in acute care hospital health, occupational health, emergency care, pediatric, neonatal, travel health, tropical medicine and independent practice. She has worked in Canada, Great Britain, Cyprus and Australia.

Jeannette has worked in a variety of occupational health settings, including a Mobile Offshore Drilling Unit, drilling vessels, manufacturing and an occupational health clinic. Jeannette has a variety of post-secondary education achievements to her credit, including a Master's Degree in Nursing, and certificates in Midwifery, Pediatrics and Intensive Care. Jeannette is a Certified Occupational Health Nurse (Canada), Certified Perinatal Nurse (Canada) and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.

She received the Western Australian School of Nursing prize for the highest aggregate in theory and practice in 1979 and the Canadian Occupational Health Nursing National Award of Excellence for her contribution to Occupational Health Nursing both locally, provincially and nationally in 2010.

She currently resides in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Juanita House RN, BN, OHNC, COHNc, LNC

Juanita House is a Senior Consultant in Occupational Health and Disability Management and has worked in a variety of industries for the past two decades. She has provided services for clients inter-provincially in Canada and within the US. She currently owns a consulting business providing a wide range of Occupational Health Services to companies in a variety of industries.

Juanita is a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant, providing expert opinion and case reviews for lawyers and employers in OH and DM practice.

She received the 2014 Ruptash-Mandryk Nurse of the Year Award for Occupational Health Nursing (OHN). This is awarded to OHN’s who demonstrate extraordinary involvement and achievement in OHN practice, education, research and leadership as well as outstanding volunteer endeavors, which reflect commitment and leadership to Occupational Health.

She resides in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Shelly Bischoff RN, OHNC, COHN(C) CHRP, CHSC

Shelly Bischoff is Founder and Director of Ptolemy & Associates lnc.. She is a Registered Nurse (SIAST), a Certified Occupational Health Nurse (Grant McEwan College), and a Certified Human Resource Professional and Certified Health and Safety Consultant (CSSP) with over 20 years of experience in the areas of OHS, wellness and disability management, and is a national speaker in these areas of expertise.

Shelly has worked with both public and private sector organizations and implemented a National award-winning disability management program in the municipal sector in 2000. She has served on the Alberta provincial boards of Alberta Motor Association, Governors for Children, McMan Youth, Family & Community Services, and was appointed by the government to the Practice Review Council for the Alberta College and Association of Physical Therapists and Alberta Occupational Health Nurses Association.

Yvonne Gazzard, BScN, MSc, CIH, RN

Yvonne provides occupational health and hygiene consulting services from her home base in Calgary. She is a passionate advocate for Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) in general and enjoys engaging people in dialogue and assisting them with solutions for their health and safety challenges.
Following 15 years of nursing experience in various clinical settings, Yvonne gained practical and leadership experience in occupational health nursing and occupational hygiene in a range of roles, including OHN and Industrial Hygienist at Suncor Energy Inc., National Practice Lead (Safety), at TELUS Sourcing Solutions, and Health Director at BP Canada.

Yvonne’s enthusiasm for OHS was initially launched in an industrial setting, first as an emergency responder and then as an OHN, taking on occupational health and disability management functions. Not content to stop there, Yvonne further expanded her knowledge in occupational hygiene and moved to roles that would increase her skill in this specialized field.

Yvonne's credentials include a BScN from the University of Alberta and an MSc in Occupational Health and Hygiene from McGill University. She is a registered nurse (RN) in the province of Alberta and is certified in industrial hygiene (CIH) through the American Board of Industrial Hygienists (ABIH). Yvonne considers herself a lifelong learner and recently completed a certification course in change management. In her spare time, Yvonne can be found running the trails in Calgary, hiking in the mountains, and spending time with her family.
