When conflict erupts between employees, the relationship can deteriorate to the point where interpersonal communication becomes deficient or non-existent. This seminar equips team managers with the practical skills needed to resolve disputes, remain impartial, and find solutions that work for everyone involved.

Instructors

Certified Mediator Alain Paulin specializes in conflict management since 1998. He launched Facilitation Sphera inc. in 2013, a company offering mediation, facilitation and training. He made his career in the Government of Canada for 24 years successively in communications, human resources and conflict resolution, including eight years as a mediator in the Department of National Defence. He has worked in both official languages as a mediator, facilitator and trainer from coast to coast. He also worked in the Central African Republic, Dominican Republic, Uganda and Kenya on behalf of the Canadian Institute for Conflict Resolution, the Danish Refugee Council, the Danish Deming Group and the United Nations .

Alain holds a Bachelor of Arts (Communication) and a certificate in conflict management. He is currently pursuing graduate studies in peace and conflict. He has attended numerous professional development workshops in Canada and the United States. He currently serves on the board of the Institute of Mediation and Arbitration of the Atlantic.
