Contest Rules
This contest is sponsored and operated by the University of New Brunswick (UNB) Associated Alumni. It is accessible directly on the UNB Associated Alumni website or through promotional posts on Meta and X social platforms. Meta and X are not involved in any way and are released of all liability by each entrant in this contest.
To participate, an entrant must be a UNB alum as recognized and defined by the UNB Associated Alumni. UNB employees, officers, directors, agents and representatives, and immediate family members of each of the above are not eligible to win.
Entrants must successfully submit a contact update form (https://www.unb.ca/alumni/updates/) between April 17, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. and April 28, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. Only successfully received form submissions will count as an entry, and only one form submission per entrant will be counted as an entry. An entrant may not submit more than one entry. Entries that are outside the prescribed dates and times, lost, incomprehensible, misdirected or do not otherwise conform to the rules may be disqualified by UNB.
Entrants are responsible for the cost of their connection to the contest website via the internet. UNB does not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted, or secure access to the contest website or contact update form.
There is one prize available, a monetary prize of $500 CAD. The prize will be distributed as-is within 30 days of notifying the winner. Any costs or expenses, including taxes on any of the prize, incurred by the winner in claiming or using their prize will be the responsibility of the winner.
The winner will be selected on April 29, 2024, and notified through social media within 24 hours of selection. The winner will have 14 calendar days to respond from notification. If the winner fails to respond within this time, they will be disqualified, deemed ineligible to receive the prize, and UNB Associated Alumni may select a new winner at their sole discretion. UNB Associated Alumni is not responsible for the failure for any reason of the winner to receive notification or of UNB Associated Alumni to receive the winner’s response.
UNB reserves the right to cancel, suspend, withdraw, or amend the contest or rules in any way, without prior notice or obligations, in the event of an error, technical problem, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or any other cause beyond the control of UNB that interferes with the conduct of the contest.
