Young Alumni Networks — Looking for Volunteers

Ryan BurgoyneAs a graduate of UNB’s Business and Law programs, Varsity Reds alumnus, and a member of the Associated Alumni Council, I’m very happy to have recently accepted the position of Chair of the newest Alumni committee — the Young Alumni Committee.

Did you know that young alumni represent over half of the overall alumni population? By definition, the Young Alumni Committee represents anyone who has graduated UNB in the past 15 years and is under 35 years old. This is an important group within the Alumni Association and the Association wants to provide programs and services specifically for you.

The focus of the committee is to increase participation among Young Alumni, provide networking opportunities and organize programs that will be of interest to Young Alumni both personally and professionally. If you’re looking to reconnect with your fellow alumni, network among like minded individuals or kick start your career — Young Alumni Committee can help make this happen.

We’re excited to get this underway and are looking for volunteers to help us establish Young Alumni Networks in areas that have a strong young alumni population. If you are from one of these areas and would like to work with us on getting this started, let us know, call 1-888-862-2586 (ext 3) or e-mail outreach@unb.ca:

  • Fredericton

  • Moncton

If having the opportunity to attend networking events, connect with professionals in your field and enhance your skills seems of interest, we look forward to hearing from you.
