Kinesiology time capsule to be installed

Alumni are invited to participate in the placement of a time capsule at the new kinesiology building on our Fredericton campus on Thursday, Sept. 28, at 12:30 p.m.

The stainless-steel capsule contains items voted on by students, faculty, staff and alumni. These include a Fitbit, a 3D-printed whistle, a puck commemorating the UNB men’s 2017 hockey championship and a brick from the Lady Beaverbrook Gym.

Alumni will be able to see the progress that has been made on the new building, which is on track for its Spring 2018 opening. Workers are insulating and closing up the base of the building as steel framing continues.

Once the time capsule is placed in the new building, it will remain sealed until 2067, when it will be opened on Canada’s bicentennial.
