Study abroad campaign

The project

The UNB Student Abroad Office developed a poster series displayed around the Saint John campus to promote the student abroad program to current UNB students.

The main goal of the posters was to increase inquiries and applications into the program.

The posters focused on three key messages that the Student Abroad Office wanted to convey to students based on common misconceptions about studying abroad:

  • Students are able to earn credit courses towards their degree while participating in a student exchange opportunity
  • Students may be eligible to receive financial support to study abroad
  • Students receive support from the Student Abroad Office every step of the way.

The inspiration

The posters use an engaging design with elements from UNB's Brand Book.

The posters effectively follow UNB’s Photography Guide by using high quality, engaging photos of UNB students that create an overall positive, welcoming and spontaneous mood.

The UNB Student Abroad unit logo, which combines the primary campus logo with a unit (i.e., Student Abroad) identifier, is featured in the design. UNB has guidelines on logo use; review the Brand Toolkit or email us for assistance. (Don't have a unit or faculty logo yet? Contact brand@unb.ca).

The posters also use UNB’s primary colour palette (red, black and white) and UNB’s typography.
