Communication is a two-way street

At UNB a conversation can lead to great things. These conversations - in our classrooms, labs and communities - are the starting point for the innovations and discoveries that make UNB special.

The Communications & Marketing group is proud to tell the range of stories that are born at UNB each and every day - whether about a student's success in the classroom or community, a high-profile research project, an innovative partnership or progress about a new building on one of our campuses.

Our job is to help connect the University of New Brunswick, its experts and success stories to the world beyond our campus gates. It is also our job, when faced with an issue, to help UNB communicate its position in a clear and timely manner. We are focused on both internal and external audiences.

What we do

  • Communications counsel and support to UNB's senior administration
  • Communications planning for major UNB projects and priorities
  • Internal communications planning and implementation, including publication of eDaily and eNews Weekly
  • Issues management
  • Crisis communications planning
  • Media relations
  • Media training
  • Media monitoring and escalation

True communication is a two-way street. We value the opinions of those we interact with and we understand that listening is as important as talking. Please contact us if you have a potential UNB story idea, if you are aware of an issue that may require communications support, or if you would like to arrange for media training.
