Note: The dates shown below apply to undergraduate programs. They do not necessarily apply to the School of Graduate Studies, the Faculty of Law, or to courses offered through the College of Extended Learning. Students in other programs should consult the appropriate calendar or brochure.

May, 2011 Monday 02 UNB Saint John Spring session commences. Tuition fees are due the first day of class.
Tuesday 10 Last day to add or drop a class for the 8 week term.
Monday 16 Last day to add or drop a class for the 12 week term.
Monday 23 Victoria Day. University Holiday - No classes.*
June, 2011 Monday 06 Last day to withdraw without an academic penalty for the 8 week term.
Friday 24 Last day of class for the 8 week term.
Saturday 25 Reading Day for the 8 week term.
Monday 27 Day 1 of the exam period for the 8 week term.
Reading day for the 12 week term.

Last day to withdraw without an academic penalty for the 12 week term.
Tuesday 28 Day 2 of the exam period for the 8 week term.
Reading Day for the 12 week term.
Wednesday 29 Day 3 of the exam period for the 8 week term.
Reading Day for the 12 week term.
Thursday 30 Day 4 of the exam period for the 8 week term.
Reading Day for the 12 week term.
July, 2011 Friday 01 Canada Day - University Holiday - No Classes*
Monday 04 UNB Saint John Summer Term commences. Tuition and fees are due on the first day of classes.
Thursday 07 Last day to add or drop a course for the Summer 4 week term.
Friday 29 Last day of classes for the 12 week term.
Saturday 30 Reading Day for the 12 week term and the Summer 4 week term.
August, 2011 Monday 01 New Brunswick Day - University Holiday - No Classes*
Tuesday 02 Day 1 of the exam period for the 12 week term and the Summer 4 week term.
Wednesday 03 Day 2 of the exam period for the 12 week term and the Summer 4 week term.
Thursday 04 Day 3 of the exam period for the 12 week term and the Summer 4 week term.
Friday 05 Day 4 of the exam period for the 12 week term and the Summer 4 week term.

*Except for essential operations, most University offices will be closed on the dates indicated as "University Holiday". Essential functions, for example, Security, Heating Plant, and Residences will be staffed and operational. Physical Plant will have staff on call should they be needed. A few departments and facilities, such as the libraries, computer labs, Financial Services may offer some services on certain holidays. Those wishing to use such services on a holiday are advised to check with the specific department about operations for that day.
