Bachelor of Business Administration

More information

Business is everywhere: in our homes, our schools, our hospitals, our governments, and our shopping centres. Whether you study consumer patterns, the stock market, e-commerce, or employee rights in the workplace, UNB Saint John offers innovative programs recognized by the business community for their quality and their ability to produce future business leaders.

Our students have opportunities to do and try things here that they may never get a chance to do on a larger campus. As a business student you can choose from accounting, economics and finance or branch off into specialized areas such as human resource management and hospitality and tourism.

A solid foundation

As a graduate of our business program, you will be well-qualified to pursue challenging careers, to start your own business, or to apply to professional programs or graduate schools.

At UNB Saint John, you'll develop critical thinking skills and flexibility through projects and assignments that involve both individual and group-based participation. And by working with peers from other countries, you'll gain an international appreciation for how different cultures react to different business tactics and strategies.

Gain the skills that will make you more competitive in today's global business environment.

BBA program

Our BBA degree is a four-year program. In the first year, you take a wide variety of business and elective courses. In subsequent years, you may opt to complete a general BBA, or choose a major, minor or a concentration in Accounting, Economics, Electronic Commerce, French Communication & Culture, Human Resource Management or Marketing.

In addition to these specialized fields, our BBA students can also take advantage of our Co-op program or Student Abroad program. Qualified students may also apply for our Co-op Scholarships.

Co-op program

Our Business Co-op program integrates classroom studies with work experience by alternating academic semesters with four-month paid work semesters. You'll not only gain paid work experience and develop great business skills, you will also have a chance to network with professionals in the field.

Our fourth-year students are often hired before they graduate because of the great experience and contacts they acquire from our Co-op program.

By alternating study terms and paid work terms, you learn the theory you need to take into the workplace, and then apply it in an authentic business environment - before it starts to rust.

You learn to work, then work to learn.
