The minor in cognitive neuroscience is a multi-disciplinary approach to studying the neurological foundations of cognitive activity, or how psychological/cognitive functions are produced by the brain. To tackle the complex area of cognition's neurological basis, this relatively new area of study brings together many disciplines - psychology, linguistics, philosophy, mathematics, and computer science.
Bachelor of Arts
Cognitive neuroscience is available as a minor option as part of a four-year Bachelor of Arts degree. You may apply to become a cognitive neuroscience minor student at the end of your second year of study for the Bachelor of Arts degree.
At work
A degree minor in cognitive neuroscience will give you the chance to enter fields that are involved with cognitive science, for example, psychology or computer science.
It can also provide you the opportunity to apply to different graduate and professional programs. For instance you might decide you are interested in the cognitive science of language and go into an advanced training program in speech pathology. Or it could benefit you, the pre-medicine, pre-law or pre-management student.
