Knowledge @ Work

A Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree gives you the keys to our brave new world. This is a degree that encourages you to think critically and creatively about the problems we face both here in New Brunswick and around the world.

The skills you will develop in the Faculty of Arts will prepare you for a career in the knowledge-based economy, whether it is deconstructing an Alistair Macleod short story, analyzing the ethical dilemmas faced by high-performing athletes or theorizing about the impact of new media technologies on corporations and communities.

Power and relationships: that’s life. That’s what you’ll study at the Faculty of Arts. In classroom discussions you’ll consider our relationships and attitudes towards people, power, self-expression, technology, past events and our sense of place.

With such a wide range of knowledge and skills in research, analytical thinking and verbal and written communications, your Arts degree will give you a strong start for wherever your career takes you.
