Bachelor of Nursing

More information

The Faculty of Nursing offers a four-year degree (Bachelor of Nursing) that will teach you the interpersonal and technical skills necessary for a rewarding career in the healthcare profession. We place great emphasis on the caring practice of nursing with the idea that the human side of the profession is just as important as the technical side.

In addition to in-class study, lectures and labs, you will work in a variety of settings to fulfil the clinical component of your degree.

Starting in first year you will work in the community, hospitals, and clinics to develop a thorough understanding of what a nurse's life is like.

You will continue to work with community groups and hospitals throughout your program. This valuable hands-on experience will give you the confidence and knowledge you need to become a highly effective health-care professional.

Choose Your Placement

Fourth-year nursing students get to choose their own placement location for a concentrated clinical practicum. For seven weeks at the end of the final year, you will work one-on-one with a registered nurse.
