More information

The Bachelor of Recreation and Sport Studies (BRSS) degree program offered on our Fredericton campus prepares students to create, manage, and execute high-quality programs that will contribute to healthy communities and healthy lives.

We offer four options, so you can build your program around your interests and your career goals:

  • BRSS with Minor
  • Management
  • Wellness
  • Education Preparation

Align your program to your career goals

In addition to the options we offer, our program allows you to explore your interests in depth, giving you an advantage in the workplace or graduate school.

  • Honours program -  you will work with one of our faculty in their area of research, or conduct a research project of your own.
  • Directed studies - undertake an independent research project in an advanced area of study you wish pursue.

Gain valuable work experience

Our four-month internship takes you out of the classroom and into the work place, where you can ‘try on’ your career with organizations such as the YMCA, the American Hockey League and Outward Bound.
