Bachelor of Science in Forestry

More information

Forests are important in so many ways—from providing recreational opportunities and wildlife habitats to slowing climate change and growing wood for products we use every day.

Forests have tremendous environmental, economic and social value for everyone. Balancing these values is one of the toughest challenges facing today’s environmental leaders. With a BScF degree you will have all the skills you need to meet that challenge.

The BScF program emphasizes observations and experimentation in our nearby outdoor lab. Gain the knowledge and experience you need to join the next generation of educated and committed leaders who are working to ensure the viability of our forests for future generations. Learn how to regenerate forests, protect waterways, conserve wildlife habitat and protect forests from fire, disease, and insects. Develop a passion for life-long learning and a commitment to ethical forestry practices and stewardship.
