NURS3064Community and Population Health Nursing3 ch (3C)

The course examines the role of community health nurses within the context of population health. There is a focus on illness prevention, health promotion, and primary health care. Community development strategies are explored in terms of a trauma-informed, evidence-based, and harm-reduction approach.

Prerequisites: A minimum grade of C in NURS 2063 for BN students, all required LPN Bridge courses or a minimum grade of C in BIOL 2831, NURS 1009, NURS 2011, NURS 2132, NURS 2051, PSYC 1003, and STAT 2263 for BN/LPN students 

Co-requisites: NURS 3067 and NURS 3092.
