BA3672Introduction to Management Information Systems 3 ch (3C)

This course introduces the essential concepts of management information systems. Several inter-related questions about the use of information technology in organizations are discussed; how information systems can be used by an organization to achieve an advantage over its competition; and the implications of management information systems to business managers (e.g., risks and opportunities). While this course is not primarily about technology, students will also have an opportunity to be exposed to essential tools for managers to analyze business data (e.g., database and Tableau).

Prerequisite: Successful completion of 54 credit hours in any program, or admission to the Certificate in Accounting, or permission of the instructor.
