WS2003Introduction to Women's Studies3 ch

Provides an introduction to Women's Studies with an emphasis on perspectives from the humanities and social sciences. Examines various aspects of women's experiences and the status of women in Canada and elsewhere.

WS4004Seminar in Women's Studies3 ch

Critically examines the assumptions underlying existing disciplines as they relate to the study of women and men, and explores new theoretical and methodological perspectives for studying the gender-based aspects of society.

Prerequisite: WS 2003

WS4900Honours Thesis in Women's Studies6 ch

Involves directed reading and research leading to an Honours thesis on a topic in Women's Studies. Women's Studies students will consult with the Coordinator in finding a suitable topic and thesis supervisor. 

Prerequisites: WS 2003 and WS 4004
