The course provides an in-depth discussion of philosophical questions associated with the concept of miracle. Questions of whether the concept of a miracle is logically coherent, whether miracles should be defined as violating the laws of nature, whether testimonial evidence could ever be sufficient to justify belief in a miracle, and whether the occurrence of miracles would intensify the problem of evil are examined.

Prerequisite: Permission of the instructor.
