Describes the aerodynamic forces, moments and propulsive thrusts which act on fixed wing aircraft. Topics include: aircraft stability, control, flight performance, propeller aircraft, turbofans, turbojets and ramjets. Laboratory experiments include measuring the lift and drag on wings and the performance of a subsonic ramjet. Each student designs and builds a model glider as a term project.
