Gives an overview of computational problems and algorithms for problems associated with a variety of analyses of biological molecular data. Focuses on the computational complexity of these problems and algorithms, and an understanding of the problems and potential solutions. Topics include string and sequence matching, structure comparison and analysis, evolutionary trees, and gene expressions analysis. Some commonly used tools will also be examined. No prior knowledge of biology is required.
