Introduces students to lower-level computer operations and the association with higher-level procedural programming constructs. Topics include binary representation of data, instruction formats and execution, assembler programming, scope, functions, user-defined data types using both low- and high-level programming languages. Prerequisites: CS 1083 or equivalent and level of programming experience, at the discretion of the instructor. Note: Credit cannot be obtained for CS 2253 by students who have completed both CS 2023 and CS 2813. | ||
