This course examines, at a fundamental level, the ways by which animals function, with an emphasis on physiological adaptations to the environment. Topics covered include respiration and circulation, metabolism and bioenergetics, thermal adaptation, ionic and osmotic regulation, and integrative neuromuscular, endocrine and sensory physiology. Prerequisites: BIOL 1001 , 1006 , 1012 , 1017 . Strongly recommended: BIOL 2033 , 2043 , 2093 . | ||
