| Wood is a renewable bio-composite material, which has been widely used for construction. Its mechanical properties govern its structural performance in service. This course focuses on the testing methods, via mechanical test labs and assignments, of determining the major mechanical properties, such as stiffness and strength capacities in bending, of clear wood, lumber, and laminated wood products. The course also discusses the repeatability and reproducibility analysis of a given testing method. |
