This award was established in 2012 in recognition of the full-time graduating student (at Encaenia and the previous Convocation) with the highest cumulative grade point average (CGPA). In the event of a tie, the further decimal places are used. For the purpose of this award, the MBA Society has determined that full-time students are those enrolled in at least three courses in the final semester of their program. The courses must be taken at UNB Fredericton.

The award funds are presented to the recipient at the Faculty's Encaenia Reception, along with a framed certificate. The award title is listed on the recipients UNB transcript. Collective names of the award recipients are recorded on a pewter plaque displayed within the Faculty of Management.
