Recipients must be entering, full-time MA or PhD candidates in the Department of History and must be pursuing graduate work on the history of the Maritime Provinces of Canada. Preference will be given first to PhD candidates in an unfunded, fourth year of study and secondly to an entering student in the field. When funds permit, a smaller scholarship may also be awarded to another excellent entering or registered student.
